If you are reporting a problem, it helps a great deal to include:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version — Settings → General → About
- The app version — shown at the bottom of the Profile tab
- What you were doing when it happened, and what you expected instead
- Whether it happens every time, or only sometimes
We cannot see anything about your usage — the app sends us no diagnostics of any kind — so your description is genuinely all we have to go on.

Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no password. Install the app, open it, and everything is available.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. WedgeWise runs entirely on your iPhone and works in airplane mode. There is no network code in the app at all.
Is there a subscription?
No. WedgeWise is not a subscription.
The app is silent.
The coaching is spoken aloud, so check three things: the volume is up, the side ringer switch is set to ring rather than silent, and the cue volume in the app is not turned down. Cue volume is under Profile → Voice.
Why does it ask for the microphone?
Only to record voice notes that you make yourself in the Notes tab. Those recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded. You can decline the permission and use every other feature normally.
Does it listen to me or transcribe anything?
No. WedgeWise does not use speech recognition and does not request that permission. Nothing you say is transcribed or matched against commands.
How do I delete my data?
Everything the app creates is stored on your device. You can clear your practice history from the Profile tab, delete individual voice notes by swiping them away in the Notes tab, and deleting the app removes all of it. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Will my history transfer to a new iPhone?
If you restore the new phone from an iPhone backup, your voice notes come across with it. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no sync or account-based restore — that is the trade-off for keeping your data off the internet.
Is it on Android?
Not at present. WedgeWise is an iPhone app.
When is it out?
WedgeWise has not been released yet. The WedgeWise page is updated as that changes.
Credits
The recorded coaching in WedgeWise was produced from scripts written by Robert Henson, using a model of his own voice. The audio is rendered ahead of time and included in the app; no speech or AI service is contacted while the app is running.
